Inez Winifred Coolen
97, of Fox Point, died Saturday November 3, 2018 at Shoreham Village Home for Special Care, Chester as a result of Breast Cancer diagnosed at the age of 93. Born in Blandford on February 1, 1921 she was the daughter of the late David and Ada (Burgoyne) Cleveland. Inez led a fulfilling life doing the things she wanted to do, including computer and IPad work. She was a lifelong learner and generous with hospitality. Inez was a former member of St. James Anglican Church Guild, Fox Point; Hubbards Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary; Shoreham Village Resident Council President and was Valedictorian in 2016 at the age of 95 for completing the Apple IPad course at Shoreham Village. She is survived by her daughters, Marion (Leo) Dorey, New Minas; Catherine (James) Schiller, Winnipeg, MB; Lesta (Alden) Armstrong, Windsor Road; sons, Ernest (Donna Mae), Warwick, Rhode Island, USA; Phillip (Ora), Fox Point; 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, including her 93 year old special niece Gwen Taylor. Besides her parents she was predeceased her husband Lester Coolen and her five siblings. Cremation has taken place. Funeral service celebrating the life of Inez will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, July 13, 2019. Thank you to Dr. Karen Cox and the staff and volunteers at Shoreham Village for their kindness and support and also the Grade 8 students of Chester Middle School.
