On November 6, 2018, Luke Mathew Reed, one month and three days, passed away peacefully at St. Louis Childrens Hospital with his family surrounding him. He was born on October 3, 2018 to the parents of Joshua Reed and Tasha Hamilton of Patterson, MO. Although he was only here for a short time, Luke left a huge impression in the hearts of his family bringing them so much joy and happiness. Luke was a great blessing and was very much loved by his parents, family, and even those who never had the chance to meet him. He had a smile that would melt anyone’s heart. Luke will forever be remembered. Preceding Luke in death are great-grandparents: Howard “Sambo” and Beaula Scaggs; Homer “Peck” Hamilton. Luke is survived by his parents; grandparents: Don and J.J. Reed of Piedmont, MO; Charlie and Paula Hamilton of Des Arc, MO; great-grandparents: Tony Pendergrass of Piedmont, MO; Venita Hickey of Groom, TX; Carolyn Hamilton of Des Arc, MO; uncle: Ryan Scaggs of Ironton, MO; aunts: Christine Reed of Piedmont, MO; Chanda Hamilton of Des Arc, MO; Heaven Hamilton of Des Arc, MO and a host of many cousins, great-aunts and great-uncles. Visitation was held at 5:00 pm, Friday, November 9, 2018, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont, MO. Services followed at 2:00 pm, Saturday, November 10, 2018, also at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont, MO. Pastor Dan Pitchers ministered to the family. Chanda Hamilton read the eulogy and Michaela Everhart read a poem. Joshua Reed and Ryan Scaggs served as pallbearers.
