Obituary for Bonnie Ann Allman

Dr. Bonnie Ann Allman, 62, of Salem, WV, went to join her Lord on Saturday, December 1, 2018 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Bonnie was born in St. Petersburg, FL on February 15, 1956 to the late Robert and Doris Conklin.

Bonnie is survived by her best friend and husband, Robert Lee “Bobby” Allman; beloved daughter, Amber Allman Wilson and husband Jeffrey of Parkersburg; granddaughter, Lilith of Parkersburg; beloved son, Robert Todd and wife Robin of White House, TN; grandsons: Connor and Gunnar of White House, TN; much loved and cherished family: brother Ken Conklin of Pinellas Park, FL, brother Chris Conklin of Inverness, FL, father-in-law Bob Allman of Jane Lew, brother-in-law Steve Allman and Patty of Jane Lew, sister-in-law Pam Honeycutt and Dave of Morgantown, sister-in-law Missy White and Jeff of Weston; precious nieces and nephews: Kenneth Conklin (Allison) of Ft. Hood, TX, Krisiti Conklin of South Dayton, FL, Kenneth Honeycutt (Kacey) of Cross Junction, VA, Keven Honeycutt (Holly) of Morgantown, Brian Allman of Jane Lew, Amy Foster (Brad) of Jane Lew, Keith Honeycutt (Stephanie) of Rochester, NY, Brandon White of Weston, and Justin White of Weston.

In addition to her parents Bonnie was preceded in death by brother Michael Conklin and wife Suzie, nephew Jonathan Conklin, and mother-in-law Leona Allman.

Bonnie graduated from Clearwater High School and continued her education at Fairmont State where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Vocational Home Economics, then on to Marshall University where she received her Masters and then Doctorate in Leadership Studies. She served her country honorably in the United States Army from 1975-1978. She held various jobs including teaching in Wirt County, then assistant principal and later principal at Doddridge County High School. She retired in 2016 as the Child Nutrition Coordinator at Doddridge County.

Bonnie’s favorite past time activities included reading, photography, computer games, and bird watching. Throughout the last years of Bonnie’s journey with cancer she had the support and love of not only her family but many friends from The James and Law Company, Doddridge School system, Chris Richards, Trish Sutton, Deana Clark, Barbara Stout, Tammy Clifton, Rhonda Powell, and special love to Dr. Azar, Traci Tannehill and staff of Primary Oncology Network.

Family and friends will be received at the Davis-Weaver Funeral Home 329 E. Main Street Clarksburg, WV on Monday, December 3, 2018 from 4 until 8pm. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at 10am with Rev. Helen Oates presiding. Interment will follow at the WV National Cemetery in Pruntytown with Full Military Honors.
