Message to the Family: Steven, I remember you in many different ways. You were always there for me and I was always there for you. You were a father figure for my kids and taught them many valuable lessons. But the one thing that was most special to me is how important you made me feel. One conversation most special to me is when you told me "I know you think all of us think you are dumb or just don't understand what we say, but you are the one who held us together when things came apart. When Titi got sick you kept us on the right track, especially me when I was being a rebel. Even when mom was in and out of the hospital you kept us together. You chased my friends out and told them to leave me alone or you would give them a fight they would never forget." We might have fought a lot but we would always make up and we were always there for each other. Thank you brother for all the wonderful memories. There’s so much I can say about all the wonderful things you did for me. It’s so much to wrap my mind around because you did so much for everyone with no expectation or reward required.
