Robert F. Minervini, 95, of Wood-Ridge for 12 years and formerly of Toms River and prior East Rutherford, passed away on December 27, 2018. Mr. Minervini served in the U.S. Air Force during WWII. Before retiring in 1986, he worked for Passaic Valley Sewage Commission in Newark for five years. Prior, he was a hairdresser at Salon 72 in New York City for 31 years. Originally, he was the proprietor of Robert & Al’s, a hair salon in New York City. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph’s R.C. Church. Beloved husband for 65 years of the late Iva (nee Paiotti) Minervini. Loving father of Roberta Signorile and her husband Len, Rita Biviano and her husband Jim, Mark Minervini and his wife Ruth and the late David Minervini. Cherished grandfather of Michael Signorile, Vinnie Signorile and his wife Aida, Joseph Biviano and his wife Renee, Lisa Affortunato and her husband Jeffrey, Amanda Minervini, Cassidy Minervini and great grandfather of Vanessa and Alexis Signorile, Joey Biviano and Felicity Affortunato. Dear brother of Victor Minervini and his wife Johanna and the late Charlie Minervini, Michael Minervini, Anthony Minervini, Albert Minervini and Amalia Cooney. Also survived by adored sister-in-law Jean Minervini, brother-in-law John Cooney, sister-in-law Verna Paiotti and her husband Mark and brother-in-law Angelo Paiotti and his wife Maryann and many other cherished family members.
