Danny Ray Smith of Irondale, Missouri was born on October 6, 1952 in St. Louis, Missouri, a son to the late Glen Smith and the late Betty (Atchley) Smith. On August 9, 1969, he was united in marriage to JoAnn Lay and they shared fort-seven years together. Danny passed away on Saturday, December 29, 2018 having reached the age of sixty-six.

Survivors include his two sons: Darren Smith and Dennis (Teresa) Smith; three grandchildren: Tessy Ann Waeltz, Daniel Glen Smith and Mark Patrick Smith; four great grandchildren: Joshua Waeltz, Joslynn Waeltz, Jenna Waeltz and Gabriella Smith; two sisters: Donna (Donnie) Goodson and Brenda (Karl) Smith; also surviving are many other dear relatives and friends.

In addition to his father and mother, Danny was preceded in death by two brothers: Glen Wayne Smith and Michael David Smith.

Visitation was held Wednesday, January 2, 2019 from 4:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at DeClue Funeral Home. Visitation resumed on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at DeClue Funeral Home.

A Funeral Service was conducted on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at 11 a.m. at the DeClue Memorial Chapel. Interment and final prayers will be held at New Diggins Cemetery.
