Obituary for Randy D Winter
Randy D. Winter, 40, of West Des Moines, IA, passed from cardiac arrest on January 3, 2019. He was born January 15, 1978, to Randy Winter, Sr. and Peggy Daniels, in Sioux City, IA. Randy attended Putnam County Schools until moving to Schuyler County and graduating in 1996. Randy married Stephanie Antal and they had one son, Randy D. Winter, III.
Randy is survived by his son; Randy Winter, III, father; Randy D. Winter, of Leon, his mother and step-father; Peggy and Danny Daniels of La Plata, one brother; Ethan Gunnell of Des Moines, sister; Heather (Caleb) Jones of Oakgrove, one niece; Adalyn Jones, and several beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Randy was preceded in death by his wife, Stephanie, his son; Issac Winter, one brother; Adam Winter, grandmothers; Jean Winter and Lucille Bennett, grandfather; Robert Bennett, and his special cousin; Jarred Allnut.
Randy loved the Iowa Hawkeyes, spending time with his family and making people laugh- especially his son and niece. He was a big man with an even bigger heart, and a laugh that filled the room. He was opinionated, funny, stubborn, caring, hardworking, loving, and deeply loved. Although the road in life he traveled wasn’t always easy, he never stopped trying.
At the time of his death, Randy was furthering his education at DMAC College in Des Moines, IA. He was an honor student and planned to complete his bachelor’s degree in business or accounting. Randy leaves behind a hole that cannot be filled, but leaves memories that will allow laughter to pierce through the sadness, and a family that is proud to call him their own. His family is truly blessed for the years that they shared with him.
Services for Randy will be held on January 12, 2019. Visitation is scheduled for 10:00 AM, with funeral to follow at 11:00 AM, at the Fellowship Baptist Church in Kirskville, Missouri.
