Obituary for Sandra A. Hauf
Sandra A. Hauf, of Plattsburgh, passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at the UVM-CVPH Medical Center with her family by her side. She was born on February 7, 1941 in Malone, the daughter of Louis and Clarice (Gareau) Sweet.
She is survived by her sons, Mark Smith and his wife Wendy of Morrisonville, Stephen Hauf and his wife Rene of Plattsburgh, daughters-in-law Patti Smith of Vermont and Raquel Hauf of Saranac, grandchildren; Kory, Kalee, Jonathan, Benjamin Smith, and Katie Hauf, her siblings; Ann Hall, Linda Poist and Donald Sweet all of California, companion Arthur LeFevre and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Roland Hauf, along with her brother Allan Sweet and sons Matthew Smith and Michael Hauf.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be announced at a later date to be celebrated at St. John’s Church in Plattsburgh. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in AuSable Forks, NY.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the North Country.
The family would like thank the staff of R5 and 5 Main at the UVM-CVPH Medical Center for the excellent care Sandra received.
