Great Mother-in-Law!
I have lived next door to my mother-in-law for 33 years! To her great credit, she was never intrusive as many mothers-in-law are, but instead when asked was ALWAYS there at the ready, whether to bring a hot meal or to wallpaper a room! I will be forever grateful for my mother-in-law who was very easy to have as a neighbor. I will miss our shared love of flowers and her quick wit and sense of humor. Her sense of humor was key to our relationship, as when I helped her with her very painful home PT when she broke her wrist and I would announce myself every day by saying I was there for her daily torture session! And I have always wished I had her strength, interest in, and love of cooking and housekeeping! To almost the end of her life, she made her way around her kitchen with her walker proudly preparing meals for "Peanie" and cleaning even the kitchen floor!! After her first hip surgery she kicked out the housekeeper we had hired to help her!! She was a true force to be reckoned with, an amazingly strong lady, who worked hard her entire life. Vi, you so deserve to rest - in peace!
