Obituary for Helen Mae Cottom
Helen Mae Cottom, 88, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her own home, surrounded by love, on February 10, 2020 in Lady Lake FL. She is with her Lord and Savior in Heaven and reunited with her loving husband Leonard Cottom.
Born in Boston, MA, Helen grew up in Miami, FL before moving to Lady Lake, FL in 1979. She was a past Lady Lake Commissioner and owner of Cottom Realty. Helen was a dedicated volunteer for Kiwanis, Lions Club, Hospice, and Leesburg Regional Medical Center for many years. She was also a devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Lady Lake.
Helen is survived by her daughters Bonnie Ellen Cottom (partner Lisa Hewitt) of England and Jeanne Cottom Wilkins (husband DJ Wilkins) of Ft. Myers, FL, Granddaughter Elizabeth Wilkins (partner Kirk Reul) of Tampa FL, plus the loving Cottom family.
Service will be held Monday February 17, 2020 at 11:00 AM (with visitation from 10:00-11:00 AM prior to service) at Beyers Funeral Home in Lady Lake, FL.
