Mrs. Chrysoula Papadakis passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2020, at her daughter's home in Fairfield, NJ. She was 95 years old.

Mrs. Chrysoula Papadakis was born in Greece on March 17, 1925 on the island of Crete. She emigrated to America and settled in Highland Park, NJ for over 50 years. She was a longtime member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Piscataway, the Philoptochos Society, and the White Mountain Cretan Fraternity in Highland Park, NJ. She spent countless years volunteering her culinary skills during the annual church Festival. She will always be remembered as the Yiayia who made the most amazing stuffed grape leaves and delicious greek cookies.

She was predeceased by her husband Andreas in 1984, her Brother George Ritzakis, and Sister Argyro Apostolakis.

Mrs. Chrysoula Papadakis is survived by her children George Papadakis, and wife Stavroula, of Highland Park, and daughter Stella Kavalos, and husband Panagiotis, of Fairfield. She is also survived by her brother Dimitri Ritzakis of Greece and Anastasia Copachiarys of Highland Park. She will be greatly missed by her loving grandchildren, Andreas, Chrissy, Irene, Emmanuel, Chrissy, their spouses, and her 10 great grandchildren. She will also be remembered by countless family members and friends.
