Condolences

Condolence From: Eddie Hill
Condolence: It was a wonderful couple of years in 2015-16 when I got to know Edith. She worked one day per week in an office adjacent to ours at the former Visitor Center in Groveland off Hwy 27. She was always a sharp dresser and sharp in her attitude. She certainly had a personality, and we loved that about her. She was kind enough to take care of me and my partner by bringing something fresh baked on her day with us each week. If for some reason she didn't have time to bake it herself, she picked up something from the store instead. I always welcomed our Friday morning cake break with her, and her stories about her former work, friends, and her family. I'm so sorry to hear of her passing, but she left many warm memories for us to enjoy over the years ahead. And a scratch brownie recipe. Thank you for everything, Edith.

Eddie Hill, Florida SBDC at UCF, Lake County.

Condolence From: Jean Marie Hanson
Condolence: What a firecracker, what a sweetheart. I can still hear her say your names. Carla this, Carla that; Cory this and Gabrielle that, Carlos, Joey, Doren, the list goes on. She was so proud of her family…the love oozed when she pronounced each syllable of your names. How Blessed you were to have her a part of your life. How Blessed we all were. Always 100 miles per hours, always as sharp as a tack. These bodies do not last forever but what memories we have! Thinking of her will always bring a smile, I will hear her voice fiercely defending her family and loved ones. That kind of love never dies. And she loved us all, never any question, always with an open door, always with a smile and a laugh, always with food, always with concern. She will be missed but what an example she set. She was one tough cookie. Love you Edith Mordini! Say Hello, to Joe, Jack, Whistle and T for us. Thanks for your friendship, and most important your Love. Jean
