I know Dad Nelson is reading this from from his chair in Heaven. I will miss his stories, the way he used to burst into songs, the way he read signs on buildings and storefronts when we drove by, and a story would follow some of them...listening to jazz with him and Mom Nelson...listening to him announce what he was going to do for the day..his hats..hearing him sing in the church choir on Christmas Eve..the way he used to sound when I called; like he was so happy I had called..and when Skylar had to go through so much during one of the worst times of our lives, he made me believe everything would be alright. And it was. I will miss hearing him play his trumpet. I remember hearing him sing, "It;s A Wonderful World" once. It's not so wonderful without you, Dad. Thank you for making me feel like I was one of your daughters.
