William Abraham "Bill"  Mathers
William Abraham Mathers of Parkhill in his 81st year passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on November 24th, 2017 . Beloved husband of Eleanor (Tedball) of 56 years. Dear father of Cheryl & Andy O’Brien, Paul & Vicki Mathers and Ron & Bonnie Mathers. Cherished Grandfather of Derek (Bre), Greg (Tess), Chad (Maddy), Melissa (Tyler), Michael and Jeffrey. Brother and Brother-in-law to Verna Mathers, Jim & Doris Mathers and Shirley McCormick. Predeceased by his parents Arthur and Hannah (Johnson), brother Stan, brother-in-law Bruce, Alfred & Deb Tedball, Edith & Stu Hicks and Grandson Bradley. Survived by many nieces and nephews. The family would like to express a sincere thankfulness to the wonderful staff at Chartwell Long Term Care in Parkhill and to Dr. Whynot for the care and compassion gave to Dad over the years as well as to the family over the last few days.

Bill took great pride in his family and Grandchildren. A hard-working man, Bill began W.A. Mathers & Son’s Backhoe and Trucking over 35 years ago, serving the Parkhill and surrounding area.

A visitation in memory of Bill will take place on Sunday, December 3 from 12pm-2pm at M. Box & Son Funeral Chapel, 183 Broad St. Parkhill, followed by a service to celebrate Bill's life at 2pm with Reverend Mark Isaac officiating. Interment at Parkhill Cemetery.

Donations may be made in Bill’s name to The March Of Dimes or charity of choice.
