Marjorie Margaret  Laird (Atmore)
LAIRD, Marjorie Margaret (Atmore) At Parkhill Chartwell, on Saturday, May 6, 2017, in her one hundredth year, Marjorie, formerly of Thedford. She was predeceased by her husband J. George Laird (1992) and survived by her loving sons Ronald (Donna) of Bosanquet and Darrell (Sandi) of London. Beloved grandmother of Rachel (Darryl), Dustin (Lyndsi), Jessica (Tom), Tori, Jennifer (Keenan), Ethan (Jessika) and April. Great grandmother of Marley, Benjamin, Peyton, Ryan, Evan, Sawyer, Mason, and Alexander. Survived by her treasured neighbour and friend Betty Stewart, as well as her nephew and nieces. Predeceased by her parents Sheldon and Nellie (Lockrey) Atmore, sister Lorraine (Kenneth) Pascoe, sister Thelma Y. Atmore, brother John L. Atmore, parents-in-law G. Roy and Mary Ellen (MacLachlan) Laird, sister-in-law Helen (Kenneth) Vernon, and niece Marlyss Pascoe, and infant nephew Duane Pascoe.

Family and friends will be received at the Gilpin Funeral Chapel, 97 Victoria Street, Thedford, on Tuesday, May 9th from 4pm-7pm. A Funeral Service will be conducted on Wednesday, May 10th at 11:00am with Rev. Dr. Christine O'Rielly officiating. Marjorie was a faithful life-member of UCW Unit 2 of Thedford, Royal Canadian Legion Branch 278 Auxiliary of Thedford, a former Bluewater Belle of Forest and 40 years as a representative for Avon. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society. Interment in Pinehill Cemetery.
