Obituary for Alderice Belliveau

BELLIVEAU, ALDERICE - Alderice Belliveau, 76, of Spruce St., Moncton, with his loving family at his side, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont University Hospital Centre on Sunday evening, May 20, 2012. Born in Saint-Paul de Kent, he was the son of the late Alyre and Francoise (Belliveau) Belliveau. Alderice was the owner/operator of Belliveau Trucking and Garbage, attended Notre-Dame-de-Grâce Roman Catholic Church and was a member of the Moncton Dart Club. He was a jack of all trades; he enjoyed camping and spending time with his family. Alderice will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 48 years, Aline (Bastarache) of Moncton; daughters, Jeannette Beaver of Irishtown, Odette Belliveau of Notre-Dame; son Oscar Belliveau (Joanne) of Moncton; sister, Florida Bourgeois of Saint- Paul; grandchildren, Alex, Nicholas, Anik, Charlotte and Gabrielle; sisters in law, Valida and Eileen Belliveau, both of Moncton; brother in law, Donald Bastarache; son in law, Grant Beaver; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Alderice was predeceased by brothers, Tilmon, Omer, Edmond and Basile; sisters, Imelda, Lorraine, Thérèse and infant sister, Jeneva; sister in law, Victorine Bastarache. The family would like to thank the doctors and nursing staff of 3C2 and the Palliative care unit at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont University Hospital Centre for the excellent care given to Alderice during his stay. Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), Wednesday from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Funeral Mass to be held at Notre-Dame-de-Grâce Roman Catholic Church, Thursday, May 24, 2012 at 11:00 am with Rev. Jean-Guy Dallaire officiating. Reception in the church hall following the mass. Interment, Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe. In Alderice's memory, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or memorial of donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
