Obituary for Désiré Breau

BREAU, DÉSIRÉ - 1928-2014 - Grande-Digue, NB - Désiré Breau, 85, passed away peacefully at his residence, surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday, May 15, 2014, after a lengthy illness. Born in Cocagne, NB on December 24, 1928, he was the son of the late George and the late Marianne (Hébert) Breau. Désiré was a Knight of Columbus Third Degree and a member of the Old Age Club of Grande-Digue. He was a sheet metal worker by trade. Désiré will be sadly missed by his wife, Thérèse (Arsenault) Breau; his three sons, Donald (Jeannette) and Maurice (Diane), both of Grande-Digue, and Paul (Jocelyne) of Summerside, PEI; his two daughters, Diane Bourque (Ernest) of Grande-Digue and Annette LeBlanc (Ronald) of St-Thomas-de-Kent; his brother, Médric Breau (late Hélène) of Springfield, FL; his half-brother, Éloi Breau (Sophie) of Bouctouche; his three sisters, Florence Caissie (late Louis) of Dieppe, Dina Arsenault (late Alphé) of Bouctouche Bay, and Dorice LeBlanc (late René) of Grande-Digue; his two half-sisters, Germaine Majeur (Claude) of Springfield, FL and Anna Cormier (late Jean) of Delaware, USA; his seven grandchildren, Marc, Donald Junior, Chantal, Stéphane, Lyne, Christopher and Amanda; his seven great-grandchildren, Bruno, Jacem, Calid, Zacharie, Monica, Mélanie and Mathieu; also by several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by one sister, Florida; one brother, Gérard; one infant sister, Germaine; two infant brothers, Laurie and George-Émile; and one half-sister, Cécilia. Visitations will be at Passage in Shediac Bridge on Monday, May 19, from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 from 12:30 to 1:30 pm. Funeral service will be held at la Visitation RC Church in Grande-Digue on Tuesday, May 20 at 2:00 pm. Donations to the Extra-Mural of Shediac, Canadian Lung Association, or a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
