Obituary for Edmond Babineau

BABINEAU, EDMOND - 1918 - 2012 - Grande-Digue - Edmond Babineau, 94, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre, surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, June 17, 2012. Born in Grande-Digue on January 24, 1918, he was the son of the late Pierre and Julie (Hébert) Babineau. Edmond was a 4th degree Knights of Columbus, council 1885 in Cocagne. He was also in the CN Pensioner’s Association. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Eloïse (Richard); his six sons, Edgar (Dianne), Robert (Magella) both of Grande-Digue, Claude (Murielle), Pierre (Karen) both of Moncton, Adrien of Cole Harbour, NS., Gilles of Grande-Digue; his sister, Flora Gallant (late Rodolphe) of Shediac; his twelve grandchildren and his two great grandchildren; also several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by five sisters, Laura, Clarinda, Dorina, Laudia, Hélèna; four brothers, Azor, Aristide, Laurie, Henri. Visitations will be at Passage in Shediac Bridge on Tuesday, June 19 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and on Wednesday, June 20 from 9:30 to 10:30 am. Funeral service will be held at La Visitation RC Church in Grande-Digue on Wednesday, June 20 at 11 am. Reception to follow. Donations to the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre (Oncology Dept.) or to the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
