Obituary for Eileen Flynn

FLYNN, EILEEN - Eileen Flynn, 79, of Scoudouc, NB; formerly of Fownes St. Moncton, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital, on Wednesday, March 13, 2013. Being raised in Glace Bay, NS, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Margaret (Bournoit) MacLeod. Eileen was a very sociable person and was not one to complain, she enjoyed life, traveling with her husband Leonard by land and sea to numerous parts of the world. She also enjoyed dancing and playing crib, inevitably winning most games. Family was of the utmost importance and brought her the greatest joy. She will sadly be missed by her loving husband Leonard, her daughters Carol Stokes (Shawn) of Riverview, Norah Keohan (Mark) of Moncton and Una Flynn of Moncton; her adoring grandchildren Kendra and Tyler Stokes, Andrea (Wayne) Tabor, Tara, Ryleigh and Jared Keohan, Amber and Lyndsey LeBlanc; two great-grandsons Jasper and Declan Tabor; her sisters Beverley Nicholson (Butch) of Glace Bay, NS. Heather O'Brien (Malcolm) of Ontario and Cheryl Asselin (Reggie) of Quebec; as well as several cherished nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by her faithful dog “Buddy”. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her infant daughter Andrea Clare Flynn and by nine siblings Christine, Chalmers, Barbara, Lorne, Avril, Alton, John, Norris, and Myrna. Visitation will be held at Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Rd. on March 18, 2013, from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 7:00 to 9:00pm. The funeral service will be held at Riverview Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, 214 Pine Glen Rd. on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Jeff Irving officiating. Interment will be in Alderwood Cemetery, Riverview, NB. Donations in Eileen's memory can be made to The War Amps Key Tag Service; 1 Maybrook Dr. Scarborough, ON M1V 5K9, would be appreciated by her family.
