Obituary for Omer LeBlanc

LeBlanc, Omer 1929-2016 Omer LeBlanc, 86, of Dieppe, passed away on Thursday May 5, 2016 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC following a short illness. Born on October 19, 1929 in Saint-Anselme, he was the son of the late Dominique and Irène (LeBlanc) LeBlanc. Omer was a conductor at CN for 40 years prior to his retirement in 1990. He was a 4th degree life member and past Grand Knight with the Knights of Columbus, Council 1310. He is survived by his wife, Jeannine (LeBlanc); three children: Danny (Dorine), Denise Hébert (Roger), and Doris Collette (René); one brother, Zoël (Marie-Louise); six grandchildren: Ashley, Mélanie, Marc, Pierre, Sophie, and Savannah; three great-grandchildren: Isabel, Zachary, and Joshua; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one sister, Marie; three brothers: Leonard, Yvon, and Noé. The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm only. The funeral mass will be celebrated at St-Anselme Roman Catholic Church, 1014 Amirault Street, Dieppe on Tuesday May 10 at 11 am. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary cemetery, Dieppe. In memory of Omer, a contribution to CHU Dumont Foundation would be appreciated. Words of comfort can be sent at www.frenettefuneralhome.com.
