Obituary for Philip Brien

BRIEN, PHILIP A. - 1943 - 2013 - Philip A. Brien, 69, of Cap-Pelé, passed away accidentally on Saturday, August 3rd, 2013. Born on December 14th, 1943 in Shemogue, he was the son of the late Bedford and Yvonne (Caissie) Brien. Prior to his retirement, Philip was employed for over 25 years at CNR as a Welder. He was a member of the Golden Age Club in Cap-Pelé. He loved gardening and growing high bush blueberries. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Murielle J. nee Bourque; two sisters: Marie Catherine Thibodeau (Donald) of Cocagne and Geraldine LeBlanc (Francis) of Grand-Barachois; two brothers: Rev. Emery Brien of Shediac and Bernard A. (Evelyn) of Sainte-Marie; special aunt, Sr. Florine Caissie n.d.s.c. of Moncton; his special pet, Caillum, as well as many nieces and nephews. The family will receive condolences at the Frenette Funeral Centre, 2642, ch. Acadie, Cap-Pelé (577-3297) on Wednesday, August 7th, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and on Thursday, August 8th, from 10 am until time of departure. The funeral mass will be celebrated at the Ste-Thérèse d’Avila R.C. Church, Cap-Pelé, Thursday, August 8th, 2013 at 11 a.m. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. In his memory, a contribution to the Westford Nursing home Activity Fund or Friends of the Moncton Hospital would be appreciated.
