Obituary for Gerald Matheson

Gerald (Gerry) James Matheson, 41, of Salisbury passed away Saturday January 15, 2011 at the Moncton Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer. Born in North York On., he was a son of James Matheson and Barbara (Morrell) Matheson. A graduate of J.M.A. Armstrong High in Salisbury he was employed as a supervisor with Martin Brower Canada Co. Gerry was an avid golfer and also enjoyed four wheeling but most of all was a devoted Dad to his sons Ian and Kyle. Survived and sadly missed by his parents Barbara Matheson (Bobby Seely) of Salisbury and James Matheson (Alysia) of Colpitts Settlement; his cherrished sons Ian and Kyle; the mother of his sons Charmaine; his brothers Michael (Laura) of Petitcodiac, Jason (Margaret) of Salisbury West; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many good friends. Predeceased by his grandparents; his aunt Tina and uncle Greg. Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and from where the funeral will be in the chapel Wednesday, January 19 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Shawn Kehoe officiating. Interment at Maplewood Cemetery, Petitcodiac at a later date. In Gerry's memory a donation to a Living Memorial for his sons would be appreciated. www.keirsteads.ca
