Obituary for GERTRUDE DORIS (CAMPBELL) ORR

ORR, GERTRUDE DORIS (CAMPBELL) - Mrs. Gertrude Doris (Campbell) Orr, of Charlton Place, Saint John, wife of the late Robert Charles Orr, occurred on Tuesday July 8, 2003 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born August 26, 1918, in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Owen D. and Ella Mae (Patterson) Campbell. She is survived by her sons Robert Charles (Florence) Orr of Calgary and John Brian (Sandra) Orr of Saint John; her daughter Margaret Rose Willar of Saint John; special grand nephew Terry Campbell of Saint John; sisters Ethel Ryan, Bessie Parks, Mary O'Blenis and Frances Mailman all of Saint John; sister in law Anne Orr of Saint John; eight grand children; 17 great grand children; five great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, parents, brother William Campbell, and sisters Pearl Campbell, Margaret Dunphy and Claire McAuley. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, (646-2424) with visitation on Wednesday 7-9 p.m. and Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Christian Burial on Friday July 11, 2003 at a time to be announced. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of the donor's choice. www.funeralfuneralhome.com
