Obituary for Rose Marie Spencer

SPENCER, ROSE MARIE – Surrounded by her family the death of Rose Spencer, wife of Douglas “Doug” Spencer occurred at St. Joseph’s Hospital on Monday, September 16, 2013. She was born on May 25, 1944 in Saint John to the late Otto and Rose (Osborne) McEachern. Rose worked for Sobey’s for 27 years mainly working front cash (head cashier) and in the bakery. She is survived by her devoted husband of over 51 years, Doug as well as her sons: Wesley “Wes” (Sue) of Oxford, NS and Jeffrey “Jeff” (Shelley) of Grand Bay-Westfield; grandchildren: Jason, Jenna (Mark), Joel and Kelsey; great-grandsons: Dawson and Bradley; sister, Audrey Harned of Saint John; brother, Richard “Yogi” McEachern (Tina Cameron) of Hampton and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, sister, Elizabeth Foster and brothers: Kenny, Wally, Gordie and Pat. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Wednesday from 7 to 9 pm and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held from Brenan's Chapel on Friday, September 20, 2013 at 10:00 am. Interment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery. For those who wish remembrances to the SPCA – Animal Rescue League would be appreciated by the family. Please place online condolences and remembrances at www.BrenansFH.com
