Obituary for ALVIN G. RANDALL

RANDALL, ALVIN G. The death of Alvin G. Randall, husband of Christine (Burns) Randall of Nevers Road, Lincoln, NB occurred on Saturday, November 8th, 2008 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born in Lincoln, NB, on October 13th, 1931 son of the late William S. and Beatrice (Nason) Randall. Alvin is survived by his loving wife of 42 years; two sons, Michael Randall of Nevers Road; his daughter Laura and her mother Tina Randall, and Carman Randall and his wife Melanie of Nevers Road; one sister, Marguerite Dodds and her husband Robert of Victoria, BC; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, his first wife Sherille F. Curtis in 1965 and one infant brother Carl. Alvin retired from the Canadian Department of Agriculture, Lincoln, NB in 1988 after 38 years of service. He was a trustee of the Waasis Cemetery Association and a member of the Waasis Heritage Group. Alvin will be remembered by his many friends as a generous and loving man who enjoyed welcoming both the young and old into his home. The family will receive visitors at McAdam's Select Community Funeral Home, 160 York Street, Fredericton, NB, on Wednesday, November 12th, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. The funeral service will take place at the JA McAdam Memorial Chapel on Thursday, November 13th, 2008 at 11 AM. Interment will take place in the Lower Lincoln Cemetery. A reception will take place in the Lincoln Lion's Club immediately following the interment. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes made to The Lincoln Cemetery Association or The Fredericton Food Bank would be appreciated by the family. (458-9170) www.mcadamsfh.com
