Obituary for Mavis McCullough

MCCULLOUGH, MAVIS IRENE - The passing of Mavis Irene McCullough of Fredericton, NB, wife of Dale McCullough occurred on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on September 27, 1940 in Calais, ME, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Jr. and Doris (Porter) Chambers. In addition to her husband of 56 years, Mavis is survived by her daughters, Patty Sullivan (Sean) of Fredericton, NB, Janice Giasson (Pascal) of Fredericton, NB and Angela Hamilton (Rick) of Saint John, NB; grandchildren, Mischa, Maxim, Robyn, Adam, Ryan (Alanna) and Corey (Lesley); great grandchildren, Austin, Chase and Vivian; sisters, Rose Corbett (Lou), Sandra Sprague and Edna Chambers all of Maine, USA and Brenda Woodcock (Pete) of St. Stephen, NB; brothers, Milton Chambers (Marion) and Roland Chambers (Cathy) of Maine, USA; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Sunday, January 18, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Private Graveside Service will take place at Douglas Rural Cemetery at a later date. The family wish to extend special thanks to the nurses and staff of 3E-Palliative Care Unit, Dr. Plummer, Dr. Gillis-Doyle, Dr. Gowan and Dr. Stevens. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Chalmers Hospital Foundation (Palliative Care Unit) or the charity of the donor’s choice.
