Obituary for Tanya Lavigne

LAVIGNE, TANYA MARIE It is with great sadness that the family of Tanya Marie Lavigne announces her passing at Saint John Regional Hospital on January 11th, 2015. Born March 24th, 1967 in Oromocto, she was a daughter of Elaine and Doug Phillips and wife of Jason Lavigne of Rusagonis. Tanya was known for being loving, strong, giving, hardworking and having a great sense of humour. She loved four-wheeling, snowmobiling, music, dancing, softball, volleyball, fishing, boating and animals but most of all, spending quality time with family and friends and being a Nanny to Sadie Marie. Tanya is survived by her husband, Jason; her children, Johnathon Hayward and Stephanie Marr (Jason); step-son, James Smith (Nicole); granddaughter, Sadie Marie Marr; her parents, Elaine and Doug; her parents-in-law, Peter and Cheri Lavigne; siblings, Kelly Phillips (Heather), Cheri Sharshin (Mike), Deanna Phillips (Justan) and Andrew Phillips (Jana); special niece, Shannon Carr (William) as well as several in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of the Saint John Regional and Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospitals for all their hard work, kindness and compassion. Visitation will be held at the Rusagonis Baptist Church on Friday, January 15th, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A memorial service will be held at the Rusagonis Baptist Church on Saturday, January 16th, 2015 at 11:00 am with Rev. Brent MacDonald officiating. For those who wish, donations in memory of Tanya may be made to the Rusagonis Baptist Church or the Saint John Regional Hospital – Oncology Unit.
