Obituary for Léonard Arsenault

1934 – 2016
Moncton, NB – Léonard "Len" Arsenault, 81, passed away peacefully at The Moncton City Hospital Sunday, July 17th, 2016 surrounded by his loving family.Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Maxime and the late Délia Arsenault (nee Girouard).

Len served with the Royal Canadian Airforce. An avid baseball and hockey player. He worked for City Chrysler for many years, as well at CanPark at The Moncton Hospital.

Len is survived by his loving daughter, Sandra (Marc Melanson) of Moncton; by his sister, Florence Maillet (late Léo) of Riverview; by his sister–in–law, Alice "Babe" Léger (late Roland) of Moncton; also by Marc's children, Émilie and Philippe; he will also be missed by his grand dog, Lily; by his aunt, Esther Gosselin of Moncton; by his nieces, Catherine, Linda and Maria; by his nephews, Andy, Tom, Robbie, Larry and Danny; by his god–children, Gisèle, Danika and Isabella; and by several cousins.

Besides his parents, Len was predeceased by his loving wife of 48 years, Viola "Vi" Arsenault (2002); by an infant son, Donald; by his brother, Dave Arseneau.

Visitation will be held at Passage Funeral Chapel, 625 Mountain Road, Moncton on Thursday, July 21, 2016 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. There will be no visitation at the funeral on Friday morning. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Louis–de–France Roman Catholic Church, 5 Pleasant Street, Moncton on Friday, July 22, 2016 at 11:00am. Burial at Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery in Dieppe.

Donations to The Friends of The Moncton Hospital Foundation or to the CHU Dumont Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
