Obituary for Jack Foster

Jack Foster of St. Martins passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Wednesday, October 12, 2016. Born in Saint John, on May 6th, 1949, he was the son of the late Theodore and Bernice (Buckley) Foster.

Jack worked as a Burner Service Technician for over 22 years, retiring from Parker Mitchell and continued working for District # 8 as a School Bus Driver. He was a member of the K of C Council 6595 4th Degree, Past President of Church Council and active member of Stella Maris Church.

Jack is survived by his loving wife of 46 years Lorna (Gillette) Foster of St. Martins; sons Jack (Mary) of Sussex and Chad (Michelle) of Rothesay; daughters Teena King (John) and Gerri Foster both of Saint John; brothers Theodore (Kathy) and Darrell both of Saint John; sisters Geraldine Foster of Montreal, PQ, Donna Foster, Karen Foster, Darlene Foster and Lorraine Small (Mike) all of Saint John; grandchildren Leann, Shane, Shelby, Emily, Austin, Benjamin, Alex and Courtney and one great–grandson Max; several nieces, nephews and friends.

Along with his parents, Jack was predeceased by his sister Beverly Foster and canine companion Jake.

Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646–2424), with visitation on Saturday and Sunday, October 15th and 16th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. with a K of C prayers service to begin on Sunday evening at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Stella Maris Catholic Church, 201 Bayside Drive on Monday, October 17th, 2016 at 11:00 a.m., followed by a reception. Interment to follow at St. Williams Cemetery, St. Martins.
