Obituary for Dwight Frye

It is with heavy hearts we must announce the passing of Dwight Taylor Frye, loving husband to Dale Campbell–Frye, which occurred on Saturday December 3, 2016 at Bobby’s Hospice surrounded by his family. Born 1950 in Black’s Harbour, NB he was the son of the late Taylor and Myrna (Hanley) Frye.

Dwight served with the Saint John Police Force for 34 years, retiring as a Sergeant in 2007. He was truly loved and respected in his profession, leaving a positive footprint on everyone whom had the pleasure of knowing him. This was evident by the “Parade of Lights” by the Saint John Police Force during Dwight’s final days at Bobby’s Hospice. The family will be forever grateful.

In addition to his loving wife Dale, he is survived by his son Chris (Tammy) Frye of Orlando, Florida; daughter Tammy (Jason) Marriage of St. Cloud, Florida; grandchildren Audrey, Brianna, Chase and Dane; sisters Charlene (Bev) Spofford and Laurie (Ted) Wright and Family; special niece Nicole Spofford; special cousins Jill Rae and Gary Frye and Nancy (Bill) Roberts; many special friends including Wayne (Laurie) Drost, Roger (Cecile) Ruddock and his canine companion Bearyn.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his step–mother Phyllis French.

Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646–2424) on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 from 2 to 6 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday December 7, 2016 at 11 a.m. Interment will take place in Titus Hill Cemetery at a later date.

The family would appreciate donations to Bobby’s Hospice, Forest Hills Baptist Church or the charity of one’s choice.
