Obituary for Christian Brun

Christian Brun, 46, of Shediac passed away accidentally on Monday, December 5th, 2016. Born in Moncton on September 1st, 1970, he was the son of Ronald and Jacinthe (Bourque) Brun.

He is survived by his parents: Ronald and Jacinthe (Bourque) Brun; his daughter: Txentchela; his partner, Hélène Ledrux (son Noë); one sister, Nathalie Brun (Mark Young) and nephew, Damien Brun–Young; paternal grandmother, Yvonne Brun and the mother of Txentchela, Vanda Manheia.

Christian was the Executive Director of the Maritime Fisherman’s Union (MFU), president of the Independent Fisherman’s Federation of Canada, writer, visual artist, painter, soccer coach, hockey player, and musician – guitar and harmonica. He also liked tennis and motorcycling.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac on Thursday December 8th from 2pm to 4pm and from 7pm to 9pm only. The funeral will be held at St. Henri Roman Catholic Church, 1356 route 133, Grand–Barachois on Friday, December 9th at 11am.

In lieu of flowers, a contribution to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
