Obituary for James Scott

It is with great sadness we announce the death of James on December 7, 2016 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, he was 75. Son of the late Oliver and Martha Scott, he owned and operated Scott's Nursery with his brother George for many years, and was president of the company. He was a very devoted worker.

James is survived by his wife of over 57 years, Marilyn (Betts) Scott; daughter, Debbie Couturier (Rob) of Lincoln, NB, and son, Rodney Scott (Susi) of Lincoln, NB; granddaughter, April Lee Couturier (Glen) of Edmonton AB; brother, George Scott of Lincoln, NB; sister, Barbara Dunbar of Fredericton, NB; nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, infant daughter, and brother–in–law, John Dunbar.

He enjoyed fishing and hunting when he was well, spending time at his camp on Maquapit Lake, a good game of cards and jigsaw puzzles in the winter.

There will be no visitation by request. A memorial service will be held from Oromocto Funeral Home, 108 Winnebago St., on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 11:00 am with Rev. Mary Tingley officiating. Interment will be in the Lower Lincoln Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association. Online condolences can be made at www.oromoctofh.com, 357–5100.
