Obituary for Marion King

The death of Marion King of Saint John, beloved wife of Murray King occurred on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at the Church of St. John and St. Stephen Home. Born on August 1, 1942 in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Alvin and Dorothy (Harris) Logan.

Marion started her working career at Vern's Bakery in the City Market and once her son was born, she became a stay at home mom who devoted her life to caring for the needs of her family. Marion will always be remembered as a loving and dedicated wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend.

In addition to her husband of 42 years, Murray, Marion is also survived by her son, Frederick "Freddy" King (James) of London, ON; brothers, David Logan (Doreen) and Jamie Logan (Judy) all of Saint John; sister, Barb Burgess (the late Bob) of Saint John; brothers–in–law, Laurie Leger of Moncton and Don Coughlan of Saint John; sister–in–law, Joan Logan of Saint John; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was also predeceased by her brothers, Robert "Bobby" Logan (Shirley) and Fred Logan and sisters, Dorothy Peters (Frank), Eileen Lewis (Jude), Patsy Connolly (Jim), Mary Leger and Jean Coughlan.

Although there will be no visitation, relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service, which will be held from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634–7424) on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 10:00 AM. Interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
