Obituary for Ada Veniot

The passing of Ada Isabel Veniot, wife of the late Lawrence "Bud" Veniot of Fredericton, NB formerly of Estey’s Bridge, NB, occurred on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at Windsor Court Retirement Home. Born on October 23, 1933 in Southampton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Owen and Laura (Chute) Stairs.

She was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church.

Ada is survived by her daughter, Laura "Lori" Clark (Paul) of Fredericton, NB; sons, Larry (Donna) of Hampton, NB, Peter (Theresa) of Hampton, NB, Roger (Dale) of Whitecourt, AB and Steven (Caleigh) of Fredericton, NB; five grandchildren, Adam Clark (Tanya), David Clark (Karen), Lisa Cole (Neil), Laura Veniot (Jordan) and Steven Veniot (Cindy); two great–grandchildren, Ivy and Eden; brothers, Gordon Stairs of Columbus, OH, Karl Stairs (Helen) of Sanford, FL, Michael Stairs (Debbie) of Charlotte, NC and Glen Stairs (Diane) of Fredericton, NB; many nieces, nephews, and long time friend, Judith Seymour.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brother, Beverley.

Visitation will be held at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Saturday, February 11, 2017 from 6 to 8 pm. A Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at 3pm with Father Monte Peters officiating. Interment will take place in Hermitage Cemetery at a later date.

For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or the charity of the donor’s choice. Personal condolences may be offered throughwww.yorkfh.com
