Obituary for Shirley Webster

It is with great sadness that the family of Shirley Webster announce her passing at the Upper River Valley Hospital in Waterville, NB, on March 17, 2017. Shirley was born on July 24, 1937 in Perth, NB. She was one of five children of Burleigh and Doris (Lovely) McNally.

Shirley leaves behind her son V. Lynn Webster (Cheryl); her daughter Dawn Boyer (Brian); her four grandchildren Dallas (Kate) Boyer, Bailey Webster (Jose Luis Duenas), Breanne (Jason) Gibbens and Dylan (Stacey) Webster; six great–grandchildren, Colin and Emma Boyer, Jacob and Jaxson Gibbens, Alejandro Duenas, and Ruby Webster. Shirley is also survived by and was close to her special nieces as well as her nephews and cousins.

Shirley was the last surviving member of her family. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband Victor Webster; Rita (Carroll) Smith, Pearl Everett; Betty (Jim) Harris; and her brother Douglas McNally.

Shirley enjoyed the Webster family and is survived by Victor's siblings, Raymond (Kathleen) Webster, Davene Nice, Suzanne (Ron) Webster, Loretta (Art) Hanson, Marlene Webster, Norman (Marie) Webster, Norma (Wayne Smith) Mullaly.

Shirley was a hairdresser for many years but then switched occupations and went back to school to become an LPN. She enjoyed her careers and the people she worked with. She especially loved her Eastern Star years and was made a lifelong member of Electra Chapter #9. Shirley was a fantastic cook and was an accomplished seamstress. She enjoyed the fellowship she shared at the Perth–Andover Baptist Church. It was an important part of her life and helped to carry her through the years since Victor passed away. Family was everything to Shirley and the focus that helped sustain her in her last years.

Funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at 2 pm from the Perth–Andover Baptist Church. Pastor Michael Fredericks officiated. Interment will be in the Perth–Andover Baptist Cemetery at a later date. Pianist for the service was Mrs. Marianne Bell. The eulogy was given by Shirley's daughter–in–law, Cheryl Webster. Pallbearers were Burpee Wagner, Gil Violette, Dallas Boyer, Dylan Webster, Winston Riddell, and Jane Barclay. Arrangements were entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth–Andover.
