Obituary for Bertha Carr

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Bertha Jeanne Carr, 79, on Monday, March 20th, 2017 at the Oromocto Public Hospital. Bertha is survived by her husband, Donald Carr. Born in Baghdad, NB, on July 17, 1937, Bertha was the daughter of the late Ruth and Thomas Parsons.

In addition to her husband, Bertha is survived by her sister, Thelma Cusack; children, Terry Taylor (Dorothy), Tony Taylor, Kathy Clark (Dave), Margaret Ann Bourque (Leon), Garnet Taylor (Lorilie Shepard) and Connie Bender (Michael); stepchildren, Darrell Carr (Diane) and Ricky Carr (Dixie); ten grandchildren; four step–grandchildren; four great–grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Bertha was predeceased by her daughter, Sherry Lynn Taylor; sisters, Alice McGarity, Florence Mclean, Helen Gesner; brothers, Albert, Ralph, Everett and Charlie Parsons and one great–grandchild.

Bertha enjoyed spending time with family and friends, had a passion for Bingo, and always found a calmness in knitting, continuing to knit throughout her time in the hospital. She enjoying shopping, and helping with different events at her local church.

Visitation will take place from 7 to 9 pm on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at the Oromocto Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held at the same location at 11:00 am, Thursday, March 23, 2017, with Pastor Perry Edwards officiating and his wife, Karen Edwards assisting.

Memorial Donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, or a charity of the donor's choice and would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences may be made at www.oromoctofh.com.
