Obituary for Carolyn Robichaud

1944–2017
Carolyn Helen Robichaud, wife of Winston Robichaud, of Miramichi, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family, on Friday, April 7, 2017, at the age of 73.Born in Newcastle, she was the daughter of the late Walter E. Trevors and Helen (McCormick) Trevors.

She was a loyal employee of Russell's Cleaners for over 40 years until her retirement. Carolyn was a women of great faith, who continued through her lengthy illness to put her trust and hope in God. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, especially her grandsons and great granddaughters whom she adored. She also looked forward to her annual vacation with her sisters and weekly visits with her friend Caroline.

She will be greatly missed by her husband Winston; three daughters Kimberley (Keith Shaddick) of Miramichi, Sandy of Miramichi, Debbie (Randy Doucet) of Baie–Ste–Anne; one brother Paul Trevors (Emma); three sisters Marylin O'Kane, Diane Matchett, and Linda McLean (Brian) all of Miramichi; one brother–in–law Llewellyn Smith of Miramichi; four grandsons Tyler (Jessica), Corey (Amy), Joshua, and Timothy; two great–granddaughters Elisabeth and Norah; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved son Jeffrey Robichaud and sister Sylvia Lillian Smith.

The family received relatives and friends from Northumberland Funeral Home, on Sunday, April 9, 2017, from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service was held on Monday, April 10, 2017, at 2 pm, from St James & St John United Church, officiated by Rev. Alice Szemok and assisted by Pastor Vaden Sutherland. Organist Nancy Russell, accompanied by the church choir, led the congregation in the singing of the hymns. Beautiful solos were offered by United Harmony and Clare and David Young. A eulogy in memory of Carolyn's life was given by her nephew Joel O'Kane. Interment will take place in Riverside Cemetery at a later date. Pallbearers were Carolyn's grandsons Tyler Shaddick, Corey Shaddick, Joshua Shaddick, and her nephews Jerry Smith, Robbie O'Kane, and Ricky O'Kane.

Expressions of sympathy were made to the SPCA, Extra Mural Program, or a donation of ones choice.
