Obituary for Penny Robichaud

(1963–2017)
REXTON, NB – Penny Robichaud 54, of Rexton, passed away suddenly at her home on Friday, April 21, 2017. Born in Rexton, she was the daughter of the late Donald “Duck” Robichaud and late Harriet (Walsh) Robichaud.

“Miss Penny” was employed at Rexton Elementary School for many years as an educational assistant. Penny was counsellor for the Village of Rexton, she was president of Rexton Family Housing and the organizer to raise awareness and funds on the Mental Health Awareness Committee in her community.

Penny will be sadly missed by her son, Cody Robichaud (Megan) of Rexton; two sisters, Barb Reid (Greg) of Rexton, Susan Robichaud of Dieppe; three brothers, Carl Robichaud (Barb) of Rexton, Greg Robichaud (Nicole) of Rexton, Jeff Robichaud (Crystal) of Galloway; sister–in–law; Ronda Robichaud of Rexton and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and her fur baby Jax.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Dale “Dub” Robichaud.

Visitation will be held at Thompson’s Funeral Home in Richibucto on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm, Tuesday at 2:00 pm until time of the funeral. A celebration of Penny’s life will be held on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at 4:00 pm at Thompson’s Funeral Home Chapel, Richibucto.

Donations in Penny’s memory may be made to the Rexton Elementary Breakfast Club or to Rexton Mental Health Awareness would be appreciated by the family.

Arrangements are in care of Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto (523–4252).
