Obituary for Kathleen Stevens

With her loving family at her side, Kathleen Marie Stevens passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 14, 2017 at Bobby’s Hospice. Born April 8, 1927 in Saint John, NB she was the daughter of the late Thomas G. Parks and Mary (Pitre) Peters.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband John “Jack” Stevens and her special companion Frederick White.

Kay was the president and member of St. Ann’s Bowling League, member of St. Ann’s Woman’s Auxiliary, Salmon River Association and founding member of Drury Cove Rec Center. She will be always remembered for her sense of humor, her infectious smile and zest for life.

She is survived by her children Gary Stevens of Quispamsis, John Stevens (Carolyn) of Penobsquis, Frank Stevens (Gerry) of Rothesay, Connie VanWart (Wes) of Saint John, Charlie Stevens (Fran) of Saint John, Sandra Jepson (Tom) of Quispamsis and Terry Stevens (Cheryl) of Saint John; many grandchildren, great–grandchildren and one great–great–granddaughter.

Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646–2424) with visitations on Wednesday, May 17 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. The funeral service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, May 18 at 11 am. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances in memory of Kay may be made to Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, Bobby’s Hospice or the charity of the donor’s choice. www.fundyfuneralhome.com
