Obituary for Corinne Chamberlain

Sister Corinne Chamberlain of Moncton, passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at the Maison–mère des Religieuses Notre–Dame–du–Sacré–Cœur, Moncton, following a lengthy illness. She was 78 years old and in her 60th year of her religious life. Born March 2, 1939 in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Philias and Lydia (Chiasson) Chamberlain.

Besides her religious family, she is survived by five sisters: Anita LeBlanc of California, Eléonore Chamberlain–Howe of Florida, Hazel Gagnon–Boucher of Chamberlain–Settlement, Simonne Jensen of Calgary, and Paula LeBlanc of Boudreau–Ouest; four brothers: Lionel of Sault–Ste–Marie, Wallace of Brossard, Robert and Yvon of Bathurst; several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters: Sr. Annette (Soeur Missionnaire du Christ–Roi) and Alice–Paula; two brothers: Georges and Rev. Edmond.

Sister Chamberlain will be resting at the Notre–Dame–d’Acadie Pavilion of the Maison–mère, 125 King Street, Moncton (Godfrey Lane entrance) on Tuesday from 2 to 8:30 pm and on Wednesday from 9 am until the funeral mass. Solemn Vespers will be held Tuesday evening at 7 pm. The funeral mass will be celebrated Wednesday, June 21 in Maison–mère chapel at 10 am. Interment will be in Memramcook. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Moncton (858–1900). Words of comfort may be made at:
