Obituary for Doreen Watson

Doreen Watson passed away at The Grass Home, a Special Care Residence, on July 14, 2017, at the age of 81.Born in Jacquet River, NB, she was the daughter of the late Eldon Furlotte and Lillian St. Germain.

Doreen attended the Lower Coverdale Baptist Church. She loved dancing, music and playing several musical instruments. She had many hobbies, which included knitting, skating, bowling, playing darts, and cooking. She loved watching Christmas and classic movies.

Doreen will be dearly missed by her children, Katherine (Bob Graham) Swan, Bob (Bonnie) Swan, Don (Diane) Swan, Rick (Anna) Swan, step–children; Gordon (Kim) Watson, Gail (Grant) Boland, Wendy (Danny) Campbell, Ian (Donna) Watson, Barb DeCecco, Ken (Shauna) Watson, and her sisters, Vivian Duguay, Shirley (Patrick) Dempsey, Betty (Chester) Devereaux and Diane (Richard) Bernard. She will also be dearly missed by her many grandchildren, step–grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Doreen was predeceased by her husband Robert “Bob” Watson, former member of the Masonic Lodge, brother Ivan Furlotte, sister–in–law Frances Furlotte and her brother–in–law Maurice Duguay.

A celebration of life will be held at Fair Haven Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm. Interment will take place in Fair Haven Cemetery.

Donations in Doreen’s memory may be made to The Lower Coverdale Baptist Church Building Fund, the Canadian Cancer Society, or The Friends of the Moncton Hospital.
