Obituary for Marie Berry

Marie S. (Harper) Berry, 101, of Golden Years Estate, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Wednesday, July 19, 2017. Born in River Glade, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Harriett (Nickerson) Robb.

Marie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great–grandmother, great–great–grandmother and aunt. She was a member of River Glade Baptist Church and Highfield Baptist church.

Marie will be sadly missed by her daughters, Elizabeth Lewis (Fred) and Alice Young (late Nelson), both of Moncton; son, Aubrey Harper (Bertha Lois) of Dieppe; 13 grandchildren, 24 great–grandchildren and 15 great–great–grandchildren; adopted daughters and good friends, Jennie LeBreton and Carolyn Dennison; step–children, Tom Berry, Lois Bastarache (Don), Susan Turpin (Percy) and Bill Berry; daughters–in–law, Beverley and Beatrice Harper; sisters–in–law, Lily and Irene, both of Moncton and several nieces and nephews.

Marie was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents, Marie was predeceased by her first husband, Walter Harper and by her second husband, Russell Berry; sons, Walter and Edward; grandson, Gary Harper; sisters, Nina and Helen; brothers, Robert, Edward, Clifford, Morris and Gerald.

Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858–1995) on Friday from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. A Service to celebrate and honour Marie’s life will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 1:3o pm with Pastor Lloyd O’Blenes officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service. Interment will be in The Glades Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Glades Cemetery Fund or a memorial of the donor’s choice would be appreciated. Online condolences at www.fergusonsfuneralhome.com
