Obituary for Charlene Barclay

Charlene Sheila Barclay of Perth-Andover, NB, formerly of Four Falls, NB, passed away peacefully at Hotel Dieu St. Joseph Hospital on January 8, 2018.

Charlene was born in Four Falls, NB, on December 5, 1949. She was the daughter of the late Gerald and Thelma (Hathaway) Donovan. Charlene leaves behind her daughters, Valerie Mockler of Perth-Andover, NB, Victoria Brayall (Rodney O'Neal) of Woodstock, NB; her sons, Rodney Brayall of Four Falls, NB, Vaughan Brayall (Kelly) of Carlingford, NB; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; her brother, Terry Donovan (Guilda) of Fredericton, NB.

Charlene was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Wilmont "Junior" Barclay; her sisters, Gloria Wales, Eliza Cornell, Joan MacLean, and Deloris Donovan.

Charlene spent the better part of her life raising, nurturing and guiding children. She was employed as a Day Care provider for nearly 2 decades and as a result, she touched the lives of many children and families in this community. Charlene moved on from children to the elderly during the second part of her career by taking care of the residents' needs at the nursing home in a variety of duties. During her retirement years, nothing brought her greater joy than her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She has prepared children for this world and provided for people leaving this world. Now her life has come full circle.

Funeral service was held at 1 pm on Friday, January 12, 2018 at Brunswick Funeral Home. Rev. Todd McGuire officiated. Interment will be in St. John the Evangelist Anglican Cemetery, Four Falls, at a later date.

Music for the service was by Rev. Todd and Penny McGuire.

Arrangements were entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover.
