Obituary for Yvon Bourque

Yvon Bourque, 89, of Shediac passed away on Thursday, January 11th, 2018 at the Dr. Georges–L. Dumont UHC. Born on November 6th, 1928, he was the son of the late Émile & Yvonne (Léger) Bourque.

Before his retirement, he was a professional driver for Armour Transport. He was also a carpenter and a licensed welder. He loved music and was strongly devoted to bringing joy and laughter to family and friends.

He is survived by his spouse of 65 years, Bella (LeBlanc); six children: Alvin Bourque of Ottawa ON, Diane Gaudet (Late Don) of Shediac, Janita LeBlanc (late Lloyd) of Shediac, Murielle Arsenault (Reginald) of Cocagne, James Bourque (Linda) of Mass USA, Lisa Bourque (Daniel Savoie) of Moncton; one sister: Bertha LeBlanc of Cap–Pelé; nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Raoul.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac from where a chapel service will be held on Monday, January 15th at 4 pm. Visiting hours on Monday are from 2 pm to time of service.

In memory of Yvon, a contribution to the New Brunswick Lung Association would be appreciated by the family.
