Obituary for Eleanor Kaye

1926 – 2018
It is with great sadness that the family of Eleanor Marguerite Dixon Kaye announces her passing peacefully at her home with her family by her side on Sunday, January 14, 2018 at the age of 91.

Eleanor will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 71 years Russell Kaye, as well as their children: Linda Pettigrove (Emery), Bonnie Whittaker (David), Susan Hachey (Bob) and Chris Kaye (Linda). Eleanor will also be fondly remembered by her 11 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, her two sisters: Jean McLaughlin and Joan Decker along with her many nieces and nephews.

Eleanor was predeceased by her parents Mabel and Gerald Dixon, her sister Eileen Phillips, her brothers: Johnny and George Dixon and her son James Dixon Kaye.

Eleanor was born August 26, 1926 in Fredericton NB. She became a foster parent from 1967 through to 1977, fostering many children. She was a military wife who had travelled throughout many parts of Canada and overseas within Russell’s 27 years of service. She will be remembered mainly for her unconditional love for her children and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.

A Celebration of Eleanor’s Life will take place on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at 1:00pm in the chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home (1177 Salisbury Rd, Moncton NB).

Those who desire may make a memorial donation to Eleanor’s favorite charity, which was the Harvest House (182 High Street, Moncton NB) or to the charity of your choice.

Arrangements are under the care of Fair Haven Funeral Home and Cemetery, 852–3530. A book of condolences may be signed at www.fairhavenmemorial.ca
