Obituary for Cora MacDougall

Cora MacDougall, 90, of the Briarlea Special Care Home passed away January 23, 2018 at the Moncton City Hospital. Born on March 31, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Bertie (Goddard) O'Blenis and grew up in the Salisbury area.

She married John MacDougall on February 7, 1944 and lived in Steeves Settlement, NB for around 18 years, then moved to P.E.I in 1967 for a short time. She worked at K–Mart in the seventies. They moved to Riverglade, NB for a while then built a home in Jemseg when they retired.

Besides her parents, Cora was predeceased by husband John, son Stewart, brother Raymond, and sisters Florence and Ethel.

She loved to go to Lakeville Lions Club on Sunday night for the music and would sing two songs and dance, even at age 90. She was an amazing lady and a wonderful Mom.

She is survived by her children Barbara White (late Clifford), Louise Allain (Dave), Ross MacDougall (Lucie), Sharon MacDougall (late Moe), Warren MacDougall and Rhonda Killcollins (Ronnie), several grandchildren and great–grandchildren, brothers George O'Blenis, Hubert O'Blenis, sisters Marjorie McCarthy and Ida Harper and several nieces and nephews.

The family extends a special thank you to Kathy and all the staff at Briarlea that did so much for Mom and treated her like her own family.
