Obituary for Robin Noftell

It is with great sadness that the family of Robin Noftell of Black River announce his passing, which occurred on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at his residence surrounded by his family at the age of 69. Born on August 3, 1948 in Saint John, he was the son of the late Garfield and Annie (Montieth) Noftell.

Prior to his retirement, Robin was employed as a Pipefitter for just shy of 50 years, a career he truly enjoyed. He was a proud brother of UA Local 213, where many friendships were made. Robin took great comfort in the outdoors and was an avid fisherman. Most of all, he adored his family and treasured the times spent with those he loved.

Robin will lovingly be remembered by his children, Andrew (Lisa Callaghan) of Willow Grove, Daniel (Marjorie Ford) of Toronto and Rebecca Withers (Fred) of Black River; partner, Wendy Weir and her daughter, Sonya Weir both of Grand Bay–Westfield; precious grandchildren, Dustin, Austin, Trey, Mitchell and Lindy; siblings, Garfield “Buddy” of Waterford, Patsy Despres of Lower Sackville, NS and James “Jimmy” of Willow Grove; sister–in–law, Sandra Noftell of Saint John; as well as nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by Nancy Noftell; daughter in infancy, Carrie; brother, Donald and sisters, June LeBlanc and Audrey “Tootie” Alberts.

Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634–7424) with visiting on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. The funeral service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at 2:00 PM with a reception following the service in Brenan’s Reception Centre. Interment will take place at a later date in Black River United Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Outflow Ministry – Men’s Shelter. www.BrenansFH.com
