Obituary for Huberte Barr

1932–2018
Huberte (Hubie Gallant) Barr of Lakeview Manor passed away at her residence on Sunday, June 24, 2018. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Aurèle and the late Laura LeBlanc (nee Bastarache).

She retired from NB Tel after 24 years. Into her retirement she remained actively involved in many different organizations such as Christmas Daddies, The Canadian Diabetes Association, The Alzheimer Society, and the NB Telephone Pioneers. Huberte was a NB Senior Goodwill Ambassador, she was a member of the Red Hatters and Business Professional Women’s Association.

She will be dearly missed by her loving husband Greg; daughter Carmel Nelson (David) of Cobblehill, BC; sons Eric Gallant (Ruth) of Riverview and Louis Gallant (Trish) of Greenwood, NS; step–daughters Laurie Hebert (Roy) and Wendy Dagenais (Roy) both of Pembroke, ON; grandchildren Christine, Keith, Nicholas, Richard, Laura, Becky and Joey; great–grandchildren Rylan, Tyler and Cole; brothers Ulysse LeBlanc (Anne–Marie) of Dieppe and Roger LeBlanc (Jane) of Moncton; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Huberte was predeceased by her first husband Arthur Gallant, a grandson Dan Gallant and her sister Aurelda LeBlanc.

The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd., Riverview (869–2007) on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00pm. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Friday, June 29, 2018 at 11:00am with Father Charles Broderick officiating. The interment will take place in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.

Donations can be made in Huberte’s memory to The Alzheimer Society, or Salvation Army Lakeview Manor. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cobbsfuneralhome.ca
