Obituary for Douglas Williston

1936–2018
Douglas J. Williston, 82, of Riverview passed away suddenly on June 26th, 2018 at his residence. Doug was born in Bay du Vin, NB on April 28th, 1936, the son of the late Reginald and Frances (Kingston) Williston.

He worked for the CN with the Railway Police until his retirement. He attended the St. Mary's Anglican Church in Hillsborough. Doug also enjoyed golfing and curling when he was younger. He will be remembered for his sense of humour and his ability to make others laugh. He would want everyone to think of the good times they shared. "What we keep in memory is ours forever."

He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Elizabeth A. (Bulmer) Williston of Riverview, NB; sisters, Lois Dolan (Terry) of Bay du Vin Beach, NB and Christine LeBlanc of Calgary, AB. He will also be missed by several nieces and nephews.

Honouring Doug's own wishes there will be no visitation. A Funeral Service will be held at the St. Mary's Anglican Church in Hillsborough on Friday, June 29th, 2018 at 1:00pm with Rev. Rob Salloum and Rev. Brent Ham officiating. Interment will be in the St. Mary's Anglican Cemetery, Hillsborough, NB.

The family will be meeting with relatives and friends at the Hillsborough Royal Canadian Legion (18 Legion Street) following the service for further sharing of memories and for refreshments.

Donations to the SPCA or St. Mary's Anglican Church would be greatly appreciated.

Arrangements are in the care of the Albert County Funeral Home, 4130 Route 114, Hopewell Cape, NB, E4H 3K2 734–2780 www.albertcountyfh.com
