Obituary for Sandra Blanchard

It is with sadness in our hearts that we announce the passing of our loving wife and mother Sandra Doreen (VanWeston) Blanchard, who peacefully went to be with her Lord and Saviour on Thursday, July 12th, 2018 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John February 13th, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Eric and Laura (Goguen) VanWeston.

Sandra is survived by her loving husband Fred Blanchard and her children; Raymond (Joanne), Troy (Bonnie), Glenn (Tammy) and Kimberly (Thomas) Boudreau, grandchildren; Jonathan (Morgan), Andrew, Erin (Freddie), Gavin (Elyshia), Crystal, Kelly, Eric, Ryan, Sarah, Kyli, Michelle (Shawn), Chantelle (Brad) and Nathan, great grandchildren; Braylee, Peyton, Macie, Lucas, Cohen, Bailey Ann, Ivy, Forrest, Jake, Alexis and one very special great-grandchild on the way.

Sandra is also survived by her very close and cherished extended family, step–children; Jenny–Lea (Mike) Sheehan, Joel (Karen) Blanchard, Jana (Chris) Ross, their children; Emily (Matthew), Becky (Cody), Julia (Jordan), Matthew, Will, Jack and Ben. She is also survived by her loving step-great-grandchildren; Matthew, Brayden, Natalie, Paisley and two great grandchildren on the way.

She will be missed by her many nieces and nephews.

A very special lady, whos heart was always filled with kindness and generosity. Sandra was extremely devoted to her faith and dedicated to her family. She will be extremely missed by the Camp Girls on this year’s annual trip, one that she hasn’t missed in 45 years. Sandra was full of fun, always enjoyed the occasional trips to the casino, playing BINGO, cards and bowling.

She will forever be missed by her very special friend, Nancy Martin and sister in–laws; Irene and Suzanne Theriault.

In addition to her parents, Sandra was predeceased by her first love and husband Raymond Theriault.

Resting at the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646–2424) with visitation hours being held on Sunday, July 15th between 2–4 and 6–8. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 16th at 10AM from St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Father Dan Bastarache officiating.
